flooded london 2030

Combining rising sea levels with fantastic concepts -

Really nice piece of conceptual architecture by Antony Lau.

I often pass these areas of London and now get to imagine them as this.

HERE

sam weber

I've seen a lot of talk about Sam Weber recently, husband of the previously mentioned Jilian Tamaki

I really love his work, a move skewering the human photocopier approach to rendering and bringing in some very powerful use of negative space.

I will gladly admit he's very much one for me rather than Z.

The Big Picture, Boston

Me again!

Some of the most inspiring photo journalism you will ever see, all in high res can be found at boston.com's the big picture

The london at night pictures first alerted me to this amazing source of inspiration, the compositions alone are worth a browse through.

Anyway, go! navigation is top right, it's glorious.

Jilian Tamaki

I am aware she's been on the scene for sometime, but looking back through at jilian tamaki's endless versatility and very confident composition, i had to post some up. I'm finding her very inspiring at the moment in my quest to nail my visual language.

Copper - Kazu Kibuishi

Kazu, a behemoth of the modern comics scene - editor of the flight anthologies and creator of many of his own comics is the author of one of my favourite one pages web comics - Copper.

Copper uses a fabulously imagined near fantasy world to teach some simple life lessons and home truths.

Frank stockton

Frank Stockton Is great, his lines are wonderful and his sense of the figure and composition in many of his editiorials create a great symbiosis.
I really like that he takes the time to share his process from thumbnails to finals, plus he's given me some great feedback too :)
