flooded london 2030

Combining rising sea levels with fantastic concepts -

Really nice piece of conceptual architecture by Antony Lau.

I often pass these areas of London and now get to imagine them as this.

This 720° wooden structure called Evolver was built in Zermatt by architecture students from the ALICE studio in Switzerland. It is used as a panoramic viewing platform.

the dancing house

I am going to Prague soon - any recommendations of what to see or visit while I'm there? I'm looking forward to finding this building called "Fred and Ginger - The Dancing House"!

joshua demonte

The art/fashion pieces created by Joshua DeMonte are inspired by architecture. I love this staircase - it would be perfect to wear if you were making an entrance on a similar grand staircase at the same time!

giant dog

According to the 50 Gs blog, French artist Richard Aurele has designed a contemporary art gallery building which takes the form of a massive 240ft yellow dog, which is apparently going to be built for the Shanghai World Expo in 2010.

crooked house

Based on the drawings of two famous Polish illustrators, the Krzywy Domek ('Crooked House') is a shopping centre in Sopot, Poland.

For some reason it reminded me of the Softmints advert, such is the way my mind works...

upside down

Wow- someone has built an upside down house! It is in Trassenheide, Germany, and was built to allow people to view everyday life in an alternative way (yes, even the bathroom!).
