Arcade Fire has released an interactive video to accompany the track We Used To Wait. The video was created by director Chris Milk, in association with Google Chrome (though it worked just fine when I tried it with Firefox yesterday).

Just enter your childhood address, click search and watch the clever use of pop-ups combine with your information to personalise the video.

Urban Butik's "My Life" collection is a range of USB jewellery, designed by Helena Rohner and created in ceramics. The idea is described as an interpretation of locket necklaces, though instead of physical photos you would be carrying around lots of photos of family and friends. I'm particularly keen on the one that looks a little like a shiny black mushroom...

I love vintage cameras, so these gorgeous prints by Jeremy Slagle are right up my street - they are based on cameras found at garage sales and flea markets in Ohio. The four prints can be purchased for $39 here.

The six shortlisted proposals for London's fourth plinth commission are currently on public display as models in St-Martin-in-the-Fields church. There is a gallery showing the designs on The Guardian website.

My favourite is this giant Battenberg cake, proposed by Brian Griffiths. It is made from glazed and unglazed Victorian, Edwardian and contemporary bricks from around the UK.

This red apple tree moneybox by Hus and Hem was originally made back in the 1970s and is still going strong today!

I guess it's not the most useful accessory in the world but it looks great nevertheless. Each one is made from old watch parts and is therefore unique.

Dyna Moe creates some super illustrations capturing moments from the TV series Mad Men. There's also a website called Mad Men Yourself, where you can create a Mad Men version of yourself in Dyna Moe's style.

Fogo Design take everyday household objects and reinterpret them in thoughtful and playful ways. For example, this matchbox lamp switches on when the box slides open.

This rather amusing and unconventional funny face ring is made by The Harbinger Co. in San Francisco.

Aubrey Longley-Cook is a talented artist working with embroidery in a very clever way. This animated dog is totally inspired, as is the view from the back. More impressive work can be seen on his blog, Spool Spectrum.

These little birds by Studio MIKMIK are very sweet. I love that combination of brown and gold Gocco ink on greyboard. Grab one for a bargainous $12.

 

Judith Braun creates her drawings (called "fingerings") using charcoal-covered fingers. The effects are rather stunning.
